Turkey Day w/o mom
Today was sad. Its the first Thanksgiving without my mom cookin in the kitchen, and yelling at Stick and me to clean up after the meal. We cleaned up on our own accord this year...somehow it seemed a lot more fun with her nagging us. My dad cooked...he did a great job, he was always the better cook anyway. I remember when I was about 10 my mom burnt hamburgers. We never let her hear the end of it. Those are the times I'll always remember.
On a less "heavy" note Shorn and I saw Borat tonight..."the funniset movie of alltime" it certainly was not. I was actually a little offended by the anti-semitism in the film and I'm not even Jewish. Maybe Candyland is rubbing off on me but I thought a lot of it was over the line and I can't understand why a major motion picture would alienate a substantial section of the audience for ill advised humor. The movie did have its moments nothing like chasing around a fat guy through a hotel with a rubber fist! Cheers!!!

Happy New Year!
Hey kids its been a while and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a busy little beaver the last several weeks. I've filled in for a week doing news in the morning which btw blows donkies but definately gets your name out there. I've also celebrated x-mas for the 1st time w/o my mom which was definately strange but we made due. We visited her grave and Stick and I saw her engraving. Well I'm glad 2006 is over...it wasn't all bad I landed a great stpping stone kind of job that'll give me tons of oppertunity to prove my worth and the contract has its perks. I met a fantastic young lady who keeps my heart pumping and she has been there for me for some of the toughest moments of my life.
But then there are all kinds of strange goings on in 06 thst I could definately have done without. Like starting the year all depressed...being downsized by westwood...my family problems...and fighting back from it all. Hey they say if it doesn't kill you it only makes you stronger right. I'm m-fing Mr. Universe then b*tch! hahaha
Well tell you what I'm gonna take a shower...and watch football and then get my girlfriend at the train station. HNY...Cheers!

Wacky Week
This week was straight silly...After having Monday off..I was up and at em early Tuesday to fill in doing news in POR...then I covered the inauguration Wednesday...Back to normal Thursday and Friday but throw Marshalls in the mix and I was so messed up that I nearly missed work Saturday morning.
Top it all off with not seeing my girlfriend in more than two weeks and I'm ready for a return to normalcy fo'shizzle! Hopefully we'll get there tomorrow.

What I learned from watching The Good Shepard
1.) Never to see a movie named after a food bank in the Lewiston/Auburn area.
2.) All spies wear long trench coats and suspicious looking hats.
3.) Spies never age...Matt Damon's character looks the same in "1939" as he does in "1961"...FUNNY!!!
4.) Movies Lie...Angelina Jolie's character gets cheated on...OK...that's believable!
5.) Metal singer Danzig was in the KGB...Damon's character was refered to as "Mother" by the Soviet spy agency.
6.) If you're "different" you're going to die harshly and before your time...the only gay character and the only black character get killed in horrid fashion.
7.) Ben is lucky nobody pissed on his lap when he came to the Black Tie dressed as Santa Claus.
8.) Deaf chicks need lovin too!
9.) If you're not American as far as I'm concerned you're just visiting.

The Canadian's 1st Hockey Game...
So I was sitting at home one night last week and I got a call from Canada...yes the country! Apparently the entire nation had caught wind that Candyland had never seen a live hockey game before and turns out it caused quite a national stir. The biggest scandal since the prime minister did you know what with a polar bear in an igloo. Anyway so I figured I better get her to catch some Pirates action pronto because Canada threatened to take her citizenship away..and we all know that'd be no good. So the Pic above we took at the game. She said she had fun...eventhough the hits make her a little jumpy! ;-)
